PACE Southeast Michigan

By using WalkWise data and notifications to better time outreach, PACE Southeast Michigan demonstrated a 43% reduction in falls over six months among a pilot population of 15 participants. One therapist noted that the data allowed for increased communication with participants, resulting in better information on which to base their interventions. Being able to problem solve the cause of the fall risk behavior was a key factor in their successful fall rate reduction. In addition, the emergency detection feature was beneficial to the PACE Southeast Michigan team.  In one instance, a participant would have been on the floor overnight after a fall had WalkWise not sent a notification to the program, allowing for paramedics to arrive within 30 minutes.
