There are two types of Communication Nodes – Cellular Nodes and WiFi Nodes. The WiFi Nodes have a purple “WiFi” sticker on the bottom.

Cellular Node Setup #
Plug the Node into an electrical outlet that is not connected to any switches. The light on the front will blink green while connecting to the cellular network. Once the light stops blinking and turns white, the Node is connected. This may take up to 15 minutes.
After the Node is connected, move the mobility aid around the room and stop for at least 10 seconds. When communicating with the mobility aid attachment, the Node will briefly blink blue and then green before returning to white. Check the app to see if recent data has been recorded.
WiFi Node Setup #
The WiFi Node will only connect to a standard 2.4 GHz WiFi network. Do not choose a 5G network when completing setup.
Plug the Node into an electrical outlet that is not connected to a wall switch. The green light on the front will blink, indicating that it is not connected to a WiFi network. Using a mobile device, open the device network settings and connect to the WalkWise Node WiFi Network. Once connected, a Setup page will automatically display. On this page, enter the Network Name and Network Password of the WiFi network you wish the Node to connect with. These must be entered exactly, including correct capitalization and punctuation. Click Save. The Node light will blink quickly as it attempts to connect to the WiFi network entered into the setup page. Once connected, the Node’s light will turn off.
If the light continues to blink, try these steps again as the Network Name or Network Password may have been entered incorrectly.
After the Node is connected, move the mobility aid around the room and stop for at least 10 seconds. When communicating with the mobility aid attachment, the Node will blink briefly. Check the app to see if recent data has been recorded.
